Whom to Blame: Is it users of SEO tools or is it Search Engines?

I confess. Before finding out about SEO tools and Web promotion business, I thought Google was the best thing ever. I Googled anything from human beings, to visuals, to news stories to weird gadgets and purblindly trusted the findings. Then I found out about SEO products and a new industry focused on website marketing, and my beliefs changed. But even before my revelation, having done some philosophical reading, I got an inkling that search engines, Google included, know far from all, and share with the users a fraction of that.

My Google travails soon convinced me that Flikr is a better image search source, that with the help of feeds I can get interesting current events coverage without the need to rummage through Google SERPs (rummaging seems more descriptive than Google search), and human search is better handled by Facebook. It seems that when I look for obscure objects on Google, the results are almost always inaccurate, to put it mildly. Try Googling for SEO tools and other SEO relevant themes on Google and you are almost prepared to give up your patience. I mean, come on, what’s the connection between SEO programs and employment websites or online casinos? Thanfully, in my frustrations.

So when news of seo management software and the whole field revolving around it came into my modest worldview, my doubts about webpages landing on P1 of Google increased exponentially. Do they deserve to show up on there and whose fault is it, Google or site promoters using SEO apps. The moral quandary is immense. Do I stop using my SEO rank checker or do I stop using Google instead? I resolved that I can’t quit Google just yet. At least not till the worthy competitor enters the market. For now I will keep juggling between Blekko, Google and the above methods to complement the SERP mess that Google is. And, oh,yes, I will keep playing with my SEO applications.

Truth is that SEO applications is the reason why guys like me get found on the net. Sophisticated as they are, Google bots are unlikely to find some random person and position his site well. In this regard, I am an unyielding believer in SEO products and non-paid search. If it was all about the paid search, the corporate entities would destroy me before I knew it. And there are 1000 powerbrands on the Fortune list! But here is something else that irritates me and other backlinks checker users, I am sure. There are people who purchase SEO tools and use them to sell beddingon online education sites and the like. What we are given is litter that not only permeates the net but is also highly valued by Google.

What is the public reaction to this? They Google SEO tool reviews and will instead find unrelated search findings. They get disenchanted. So much for the “Internet democracy”. Does this mean that SEO program and service field is bad? Probably not.

The unethical users of SEO applications need to stop bastardizing the Net but it’s like asking hackers to stop cracking the code. The sad side about it is that black hat SEOs are abusing the prospect to be seen on the Net that is offered to the little dude like me. For now users just have to treat them. One can only wish that Google will put more emphasis on catching the schemers unethically using SEO tools, and if Google doesn’t, the competitor Google will.
